Detailed tutorial is still under construction. However, user should consult the Global Memory Net's latest Brochure and Showcase Poster for some of the features and unique search/retrieval capabilities. Be sure to experience the following:

  • Conduct traditional searches by using any of the metadata field,
  • Explore unfamiliar collection(s) by using "Random",
  • Ask for images of similar color and shape by using "Similar",
  • Using "larger" to zoom for large images,
  • Request for metadata information by using "Info",
  • Link to multimedia information in "Info",
  • Link to available websites using the URL information in "Info",
  • Explore the use of multicollection search,
  • Explore the use of multilingual content and retrieval,
  • Compliment with the world information resources such as OCLC WorldCat, Google, Wikepedia, etc.
  • Use geographical locations to find what you need,
  • Create your own project(s),
  • Be a contributor to Global Memory Net,

You shall need to LOGIN once in order to use Global Memory Net freely.  It is FREE!

Please provide your user information as COMPLETE as possible.  We prefer the institutional email address such as .edu, .org, .net, rather than the non-descriptive general .com one.

  2. Our selections for inclusion in the World Digital Collections are just beginning. If we missed your valuable collection with retrieval capabilities, please send us the proper URL information.
  3. In our National Library section, many do not have web sites and photos.  Should your national library be one in this category, please send us photos and additional descriptive information if possible.
  4. Please contact us for any possible corrections, such as incorrect metadata information or you do not wish to have your materials included.
  5. Please contact us should you wish to collaborate with or to contribute your materials to Global Memory Net.
  6. Global Memory Net has capability to display and retrieve in many languages. The metadata information in foreign languages are in UNICODE formats. Should your monitor display "square" or other symbols for title information when the images are displayed, please check to ensure that your system has the capability to process specific language(s) such as Chinese, Japanese, Croatian etc.
